Welcome to PLTW!
~Project Lead the Way~
Project Lead the Way is a program for students in grades K-12 across the nation that focuses on STEM education (Science-Technology-Engineering-Math) in the classroom. Students are exposed to challenging content and hands-on activities that introduce them to basic science principles and engineering practices. PLTW teachers attend specialized, intense training to offer courses in design, robotics, medical forensics, computer science, and more. Design and Modeling is the introductory course for the middle school PLTW curriculum. In it, students work on identifying problems, brainstorming, teamwork, designing solutions using sketching and computer-aided programs, and communicating results. Students enrolled in the class can access course content using the link below. If you would like to know more about enrolling in a PLTW course at Bridge Street Middle School, please contact Mrs. Yates or call the school office.
