Learning Goals for the Week: 1. Compare and contrast genetic vs acquired traits (Nature vs Nurture) using evidence. 2. Describe the difference between asexual and sexual reproduction. 3.Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of asexual and sexual reproduction. 4. Explain that humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes or 46 total, one set from each parent passed through sexual reproduction. 5. Understand the difference between dominant and recessive, genotype and phenotype. 6.Differentiate between chromosomes, DNA, genes, and nucleotides/proteins. 7.Understand the reason that sex cells, sperm and egg, only have 23 chromosomes.
